Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

ALAMEEN also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance

About The Role:

ALAMEEN is seeking a Protection Coordinator who will work closely with the Program Manager and other support departments, direct supervision of senior staff working in the Field Protection Program, and coordinate closely with the Technical Coordinator.

S/HE will track progress, contribute to the design and implementation plans of activities, contribute to a lesson learned and recommendations for program improvement, provide technical support as needed.


· Contribute to designing and implementing monitoring activities (program, operational and financial) and program improvement plans.

· Ability to write a project proposal

· Evaluate the progress of activities, define performance indicators, structure operational data collection in coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation Department, and implement quality assurance protocols

· Monitor the project risk level and success of risk mitigation plans and report to the Program Manager and Technical Director of Protection to identify areas of concern in advance and mitigate them effectively.

· Ensure field-based protection staff understands and adheres to GBV best-practice principles, including strict adherence to confidentiality.

· Provide input and support to the Protection Program Manager in reviewing the budget against the actual budget for accuracy and tracking purposes, informing the Protection Director of expenditure issues promptly, and providing support in providing corrective actions.

· Participate in all grant opening, midterm, and closing meetings, ensuring compliance with donor regulations during project implementation in close coordination with the Protection Manager

Ability to:

· Plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and evaluate complex program activities and diverse staff

· Apply principles and techniques to problems and issues

· Build coalitions among groups with differing needs and objectives

· Analyze and evaluate data and information, and make appropriate recommendations

Basic Requirements

· 3-4 years’ experience in implementing gender-based violence, and PSS programs with supervisory responsibilities, preferably working with conflict-affected populations

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Gender/Women Studies, or other appropriate fields; or field equivalent experience

· Strong communication and analytical skills and ability to present ideas effectively**

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required**

· Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with local partners**.**

· Excellent knowledge in data management

· Must be fluent in English and Arabic
