FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Project Director/Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated USAID-funded assistance mechanism that will build the local capacity to represent and address the needs of marginalized, under-represented populations and /or people living in vulnerable situations (MUGPVs). The proposed mechanism will enable USAID’s Inclusive Development Hub and USAID Missions to support the priorities of MUGPVs and to mobilize specialized technical knowledge to build the capacity and effectiveness of local organizations to advance USAID’s inclusive development objectives.
The Project Director/COP will be the primary representative of the project and oversee staff and activity implementation while managing relationships with USAID Operating Units and Missions. This position is contingent on project funding.
Bachelor’s Degree required with at least 5 years of relevant experience working with MUGPV.
At least 12 years of experience of designing, leading, and implementing donor-funded programming.
Strong understanding of USG rules and regulations, including experience with donor-funded grantmaking.
Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with MUGPV-led or MUGPV-serving organizations.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to strategize, plan, and manage resources for successful completion of program activities.
Familiarity with key USAID policies including the Youth in Development Policy, LGBT Vision for Action, Disability Policy Paper, and other relevant guidance documents.
Ability to motivate, influence, and collaborate with others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
