The Opportunity

The Partnerships & Localization Manager supports Save the Children’s (SC) engagement with partners and local actors in Lebanon, guiding and supporting a strategic process to broaden and deepen the Country Office’s relationship with local and civil society organization and networks. S/he is responsible to oversee SCI’s efforts to building and strengthening the capacity of local partners, and lead the establishment and implementation of Lebanon localization approach including operationalizing the localization strategy and ensuring practical steps towards localization. The Partnerships & Localization Manager will identify and map partnerships and localization opportunities, and work closely with the PDQ, Area Offices, Awards, Finance, Supply Chain teams to support effective partnerships and lead the CO programming towards proper localization approach. He/She will ensure a common approach and consistent usage of global partnerships and localization tools and practices across Lebanon Country Office.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Bachelor degree in Development Studies or Social Studies
A high level of written and spoken English and Arabic
Good skills and experience in all aspects of programme cycle management – design and development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation
Sound understanding of remote management/monitoring practices
Experience in organizational capacity development, training, mentoring and coaching
Excellent training, facilitation and capacity building skills
An excellent team player with good skills in team work and consultative approach to decision making
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including a good track record of report writing
Good conflict management experience
