Overview: DT Global is seeking an Intern to support the Learning and Innovation (L&I) team. L&I is one of the main differentiators of DT Global in the sector. We intentionally strive to drive learning and innovation across different institutional divisions and programs. L&I supports institutional priorities to help facilitate quality in program delivery, such as developing a program management system and standardizing programmatic reviews to capture learning and drive quality control. Our team provides advice and direct assistance to projects on monitoring & evaluation, research, data collection and analysis, and the use of GIS and other technology in program delivery. The L&I team is organized into three main areas: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Research, and Program Excellence. The Intern will collaborate and work with everyone across the L&I team. The internship will take place from approximately mid-to-late May through August 2022.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL):

Assist with design of instructional Monitoring & Evaluation and Learning toolkit modules
In collaboration with MEL Director, draft technical MEL thought leadership pieces and help coordinate the L&I Community of Practice
Collect DT Global program M&E indicator data and help build out DT Global’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) tracking portal in DT Global Online
Assist with updating of L&I Community of Practice website and communications

Research:

Coordinate research activities, including scheduling, managing files, and drafting files
Conduct basic data cleaning and preparation for ongoing DT Global research projects
Write and/or edit research reports

Program Excellence:

Gather and analyze feedback from field teams and program management units (PMUs) regarding DT Global systems and processes, including areas for improvement as well as innovative approaches to program management
Provide documentation support to the Program Excellence team regarding systems, processes, and quality assurance processes
Provide assistance with After Action Reviews (AARs) and learning events, including DT Global’s Lunch and Learn series
Collect and populate metadata for closed/current projects into DT Global Online (DTGO), DT Global’s proprietary program management system, for dashboard purposes.

Education & Minimum Qualifications:

Relevant college coursework in international development, political science, area studies, business administration or other relevant fields
Demonstrated interest in international development and a familiarity with USAID development programming preferred
Proven analytical skills applied to environmental management assignments
Mastery of Microsoft Office tools required; experience with PowerBI, Sharepoint, Visio, and other relevant applications preferred
Strong writing skills and experience drafting reports
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Fluency in languages beyond English is desirable
