The FINANCE ASSISTANT, in collaboration with the SCP Finance Unit, provides support to the Team Leader of Sustaining Education Reform Gains Project (SERG) and the entire SERG Project team.
Provides financial and administrative support to the SERG Team and field focal persons for timely processing, liquidation and/or reimbursements of project-related financial transactions.
Assists in coordinating with DepEd counterparts for the retrieval and archiving of liquidation supporting documents for SCP Finance Unit.
Prepares deposit slips for the payment of allowances and/or honoraria to the project staff and partners.
Scans and emails documents such as proof of payment for communication allowance and honoraria to the DepEd partners for documentation purposes.
Assists Finance Unit in processing of reimbursements and advances.
Monitors the inventory of supplies, materials and equipment of the SERG Project, in accordance with the policy of SCP and DFAT.
Manages the archiving of SERG’s financial documents such as activity proposals, receipts, attendance sheets, acknowledgement receipts, procurement documents, etc. for future reference.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in any related function
Good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with various teams
Excellent people skills at all levels
Ability to work well in a multi-cultural disciplinary work environment
Experience and working knowledge of accounting systems (Agresso Systems) and MS Office programs
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and respectful of confidential information
Ability to work independently and proactively
