Overview: DT Global is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) to lead the USAID Green Recovery Investment Platform (GRIP). Through GRIP, USAID seeks to mobilize finance for climate change mitigation and adaptation, clean energy transition, and nature-based solutions to increase the resilience of development outcomes across multiple sectors. Over the lifetime of the project, GRIP will leverage an investment of at least $250 million to attract $3.5 billion in private sector financing of climate-friendly investments and to mobilize funding that is needed to reach national and global resilience and adaptation goals

The COP will provide strategic oversight and support the technical delivery of activities, working closely with USAID/Washington and the Bureau for Resilience and Food Security to guide interventions to meet the activity’s objectives. The position is anticipated to be full-time for the five-year duration and is based in Washington, D.C. The position is contingent upon the activity’s award and USAID approval, with a tentative start date of August 2022.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Overall leadership, project planning and implementation, and ensuring timely and high-quality expertise and deliverables for USAID.

· Serve as the primary point of contact to USAID and contribute to successful, positive relationship with the client and other key stakeholders.

· Responsible for both the quality of the project, as well as for its effective financial and operational management

· Manage a team of technical staff, subcontractors, and short-term consultants.

· Liaising with USAID in Washington as well as Missions worldwide

Education & Minimum Qualifications:

· Advanced degree in economics, finance, international development, or a related field.

· Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in the management and supervisory experience of climate change, environmental, and/or economic development programs with USAID

· Strong background in collaborating with private financial institutions to mobilize scalable and sustainable climate change projects and building networks and relationships with those key actors involved in successfully funding climate change projects.

· Experience building the capacity of large organizations, such as USAID or other large donors, to sustain, develop and expand financing.

· Experience working across and developing climate solutions that support various sectors including agriculture and food security, health, clean energy, biodiversity conservation, and natural resources management.

· Ability to lead the development and expansion of climate-related partnerships with governments, intergovernmental bodies such as the United Nations, NGOs, and scientific institutions.

· Demonstrable experience managing teams, with strong interpersonal skills.
