International Consultant- Review of the Community Health Strategy for Somalia, Mogadishu, Somalia, 40 days (Home based)

The United Nations Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health, launched in 2010, calls for a “continuum of care” approach to services, with the aim of saving millions of lives. In line with this, UNICEF’s new country program 2021-2025 sets out to provide technical support to the Somali Federal Ministry of Health to strengthen Community health systems. This exercise aims to revise Somalia community health strategy which was developed in 2015.
The delivery of community health services has continued to evolve over the past years. There is a keen interest by the government and partners to revise the strategy and ensure the plans coming from it are aligned with the EPHS and informed by recent developments in community health in Somalia.
