The protracted crisis in North-West and South-West since 2016 has contributed to the deterioration of the humanitarian context leading to lack of healthcare services, abandonment of school, enrolment of children in armed groups, bans on movements and lockdowns. Negative coping mechanisms stem from the on-going violence, such as child labor, child and early marriage, survival sex and exploitation, increased risk for early pregnancies among teenagers… These issues increase psychosocial distress among communities and weakens social resilience. By addressing the lack of adequate care and the difficulty of accessing it, AAH project aims at improving psychological wellbeing and strengthening positive coping strategies of the most vulnerable.
